After ten years of Country, “Sunny Country 101.9” WLDR-FM Traverse City, MI has flipped back to AC.

WLDR-FM is now branded as “101.9 The Bay” positioned as “All the hits without the rap”. WLDR-FM also simulcasts on 750 WARD Petoskey and 92.3 WBNZ Frankfort, MI.

Discussing the change, station GM David Barr told the Traverse City Record Eagle, “Country is a fantastic format. Unfortunately it’s the kind of music that doesn’t have mass appeal in offices and retail stores. Since we dropped adult contemporary a decade ago, there has been a hole in Traverse City for that type of music.”
