95.5 WPLJ New York is relaunching its morning show yet again.
Jayde Donovan will join the station as co-host of “Todd and Jayde (In the Morning)”. Donovan joins WPLJ from Cox CHR “Hot 101.5” WPOI Tampa where she hosted “Hot Mornings with Jayde”. In addition to multiple television jobs, Donovan began her career co-hosting mornings at “XL106.7” WXXL Orlando.
WPLJ had just relaunched its morning show in February when Scott Shannon exited and then joined Classic Hits 101.1 WCBS-FM. Todd Pettengill moved up to lead “The Todd Show”. Exiting with the addition of Donovan is co-host Cooper Lawrence and Production Director Fitz. Also of note, in the press release below is no mention of WPLJ Program Director John Foxx.
Back in Tampa, where Donovan announced her departure earlier this week, he co-host Seth Kush slides to sister Hot Talk “102.5 The Bone” WHPT as Producer/Co-Host of Drew Garabo’s afternoon show.
Cumulus announces that morning show personality Jayde Donovan joins WPLJ mornings as co-host of the new weekday morning show, “Todd and Jayde (In the Morning)”. Donovan shares hosting duties with Todd Pettengill, longtime WPLJ morning talent. The show debuts at 6:00 a.m. on January 5, 2015.
Donovan comes to New York City from Tampa Bay, where she launched one of the first female-led Top 40 morning radio shows in the U.S., “Hot Mornings with Jayde” on WPOI/Hot 101.5. Donovan was also a correspondent for WTVT Fox 13 Tampa, with weekly segment “Hot Happenings” on Good Day Tampa Bay and daily segment “Hot Dish” on Dish Nation. She also hosted the television show “The Cue” on WOFL Fox 35 in Orlando. Prior to that, she was co-host of Johnny & Jayde in the Morning on Orlando’s WXXL/XL 106.7. Donovan has served as an entertainment correspondent with Billy Bush on Access Hollywood, and has co-hosted LIVE With Regis & Kelly with Regis Philbin.
