Lotus Communications is planning a frequency swap in Bakersfield, CA on September 8.
Classic Hits “96.5 Max-FM” KVMX has announced that it will move to 92.1 on that date. Nothing has been announced officially for what will be coming to 96.5 on that date, but based on domain registrations we can say that it will be a straight frequency swap with Spanish CHR “Concierto 92.1” KPSL shifting to the stronger 96.5 frequency.
MaxFM921.com and Concierto965.com were registered by Lotus on August 4.
92.1 is a Class A licensed with 4.2kW at 397 feet, while 96.5 is a Class B with 50kW at 499 feet. In the Spring ratings Max-FM registered a 3.1 share, while Concierto garnered a 2.3. in addition to KPSL and KVMX, Lotus also owns Spanish Oldies “El Gallito” 1010 KCHJ, ESPN Deportes 1490 KWAC, and Regional Mexican “Radio Lobo” 102.9 KIWI in the Bakersfield market.
