Educational Media Foundation continues its growth with the purchase of stations in Palm Springs and Richmond VA.
In Palm Springs, EMF acquires Classic Hits “Valley 105.1” KVGH-FM Bermuda Dunes from S&H Broadcasting for $1.125 million. EMF intends to flip the station to its Christian AC “K-Love” network as a satellite of 91.9 KLVR Middletown CA. The Classic Hits format may survive as S&H sister company retains simulcaster 1270 KVGH Palm Desert, which holds a CP for a new translator 106.5 K293CL Spring Valley as well as Soft AC “CV 104.3” KHCV Mecca.
In Richmond, EMF adds Delmarva Educational Association’s rimshot 100.5 WZEZ Goochland for $125,000. The station is currently operated by Red Zebra Broadcasting as “Sports FM 100.5” simulcasting 950 WXGI Richmond. It too will become part of the “K-Love” network.
