With the FCC reopening following the government shutdown, the Seven Mountains Media acquisition of Community Broadcasters seven stations in Elmira and Olean NY has finally been filed with the agency.

Seven Mountains Media will pay $3.9 million for the seven stations included in the deal.

The deal expands the Kristin Cantrell led Seven Mountains Media beyond the Pennsylvania state line where it operates 26 stations across the northern and central parts of the state. The company also operates a cluster in Frankfort KY under the name Cap City Communications.

The Bruce Mittman and Jim Leven led Community Broadcasters will retain its stations in Fort Walton Beach FL, Florence, Sumter and Orangeburg SC, and Ogdensburg and Watertown NY.

The stations included in the deal are:

Elmira: Country “100.9 The Wolf” WPGI, Rock “Wingz 104.9” WNGZ, CHR “Wink 106” 106.1 WNKI, Talk 820 WWLZ/101.3 W267CJ, and Classic Country 1490 WRCE. Seven Mountains Country simulcast “Bigfoot 104 – 107 – 96” 96.9 WZBF Ridgebury/104.5 WNBT-FM Wellsboro PA does put a signal over significant portions of the Elmira market.

Olean: Country “95.7 The Pig” WPIG and CHR “Hot 107.1” 1450 WHDL/107.1 W296DB Olean.
