Catholic radio operator Immaculate Heart Media is purchasing four AMs and three translators in Florida from Salem Media for $8,218,875.
Immaculate Heart, which owns the national “Relevant Radio” network, will acquire Business “880 The Biz” WZAB Sweetwater and Spanish Christian “Radio Luz” 1080 WKAT Coral Gables/97.7 W249DM Miami in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale market and Spanish Christian “Radio Luz” 760 WLCC Brandon/104.3 W282CI Tampa and Business “1380 The Biz” WWMI St. Petersburg and its CP for 99.9 W260DM St. Petersburg.
Following the sale, Salem will retain Spanish Christian “Vida 101.9” 1450 WOCN/101.9 W270CV in the Miami market and Christian Preaching “Faith Talk” 570 WTBN Pinellas Park/100.3 W262CP Bayonet Point and 910 WTWD Plant City/102.1 W271CY Lakeland and Conservative Talk “860 The Answer” WGUL/93.7 W229DJ Dunedin in the Tampa market.
Excluded from the deal and remaining with Salem are the WKAT call letters.
