Ten days after being named Director of Programming for Westwood One Nashville, Paul Williams is adding oversight of Country “103.3 Nash-FM” WKDF Nashville.
Williams most recently served as Vice President of Marketing & Artist Development for Reviver Entertainment Group and has also worked at RCA Label Group, Zac Brown’s Southern Ground Artists, and was radio editor of Country Aircheck. He programmed Country “99.5 The Wolf” KPLX Dallas for Susquehanna from 1999-2005 under current Cumulus EVP/Content & Audience Brian Phillips and was Operations/Marketing Director for the Kidd Kraddick Show.
The Program Director role at WKDF was the other half of the position held by John Shomby along with the oversight of Westwood One’s suite of Nashville based programming at the former “Nash Campus”.
CUMULUS MEDIA announces that it has appointed Paul Williams as Program Director of Cumulus Nashville Country radio station WKDF-FM. Williams adds WKDF programming duties after being named Director of Programming for Westwood One Nashville earlier this month. In that role, Williams oversees the marketing, content, and operations for Westwood One’s award-winning, nationally syndicated Country programming, including: The Ty Bentli Show, The Blair Garner Show, Nights With Elaina, American Country Countdown, Country Countdown USA, Country Gold, and With Elaina.
Williams was most recently Vice President of Marketing & Artist Development for Reviver Entertainment Group in Nashville. He had previously served as an executive at RCA Label Group Nashville and as Operations & Marketing Director for the nationally syndicated Kidd Kraddick Show. Prior to that, he programmed KPLX-FM in Dallas, TX, and spent six years as a liaison to national radio at Universal Studios Orlando radio broadcast center.
