Townsquare Media has flipped Adult R&B “Magic 92.1” KTSR De Quincy/Lake Charles LA to Christian AC “Power 92.1“.
With the flip, KTSR is utilizing programming from Salem Media Group’s “Today’s Christian Music” network including the Kevin and Taylor Show in mornings, Kim Fitz middays, Beth Bacall afternoons, and Keep The Faith with Penny at night. The flip gives another Christian AC option in the market against Educational Media Foundation’s “K-Love” on 89.1 KRLR Sulpher.
KTSR has been through a series of formats in recent years going from CHR to Classic Rock in 2017, Hot AC in May 2020, and assuming the “Magic” brand from 1470 KLCL in October 2020 when the AM was damaged by Hurricane Laura. The AM has since resumed operations as “Talk 1470“.
