Audacy Appoints Kelli Turner To President/CEO; Makes Additional Executive Leadership Changes

Kelli Turner Kelly AudacyAudacy has announced a series of corporate leadership changes starting with the appointment of Kelli Turner as its new President/CEO.

Turner, who has been Interim CEO since the resignation of David Field in January, has served on the Board of Audacy since September 2024. She most recently was Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of private investment firm Sun Capital Partners and was previously President/COO of music licensing and rights management company SESAC while holding executive roles at companies including RSL Group, Martha Stewart Living, Time Warner, Allen & Company, and Citigroup. Turner has also served on the boards of advertising and music technology companies including DoubleVerify, Downtown Music Holdings, and Central European Media Enterprises Ltd.

Turner said, “It’s a privilege to lead Audacy at this exciting moment in its impressive history and the evolution of audio. This is one of the most dynamic businesses in media and entertainment, and I am looking forward to partnering with Chris Oliviero and all of our teams to build on our momentum with audiences, creators and advertisers. I’m especially excited by the appointments of Chris and Bob, who know Audacy’s businesses inside out and whose track records in management, programming and sales are second to none.”

Her executive leadership team will also include Chris Olivero who rises from Market President of Audacy New York to Chief Business Officer and Bob Phillips from President of Audacy Networks and Multi-Market Sales to Chief Revenue Officer.

Oliviero returned to the company in May 2020 after previously holding a number of roles at CBS Radio from 1996 to 2018. his entire career with CBS Radio prior to its 2017 acquisition by Entercom beginning as an intern on the Howard Stern Show in 1996. He then worked as a producer at WFAN and 102.7 WNEW before moving into corporate programming roles leading to his appointment as co-head of programming in 2006 and EVP/Programming in 2013. He departed his position in July 2018, six months following the Entercom acquisition. During his time with CBS Radio, Oliviero was very influential in the growth of the company’s FM Sports brands.

Phillips joined CBS Radio in 1996 as SVP/Market Manager for its Baltimore cluster and remained in that position until being named Chief Revenue Officer in 2016. He remained in that role until moving to President of Audacy Networks and Multi-Market Sales in 2021.

Exiting the company will be Chief Operating Officer Susan Larkin, Chief Digital Officer JD Crowley, Chief Marketing Officer Paul Suchman, and EVP/General Counsel Andrew Sutor. EVP of Compliance and Administration and Deputy General Counsel Mike Dash, who has been with Entercom and Audacy since 2006 will succeed Sutor.

Larkin had served as Chief Operating Officer since May 2020. She joined Entercom in July 2017 as a Regional Vice President after previously serving as Regional VP of Cox Media Group’s Jacksonville and Orlando markets for two years and nine years as Market Manager of Cox Media Orlando. She has also served as General Sales Manager for ABC Radio Minneapolis and National Sales Manager for Jacor Columbus OH during her career. Upon joining Entercom she originally served Market Manager for San Francisco upon to closing of the CBS Radio acquisition while adding regional oversight of Riverside, Sacramento, San Diego. She then moved to New York in April 2018.

Crowley joined then-Entercom through the CBS Radio merger in 2017. He began his career on the television side of CBS working as a producer and editor at KCBS-TV/KCAL-TV Los Angeles, Senior Supervising Producer at Entertainment Tonight, General Manager of CBS’ Digital Media Group, SVP of CBS Brand Studio, and SVP/GM Digital Media before moving over to CBS Radio in 2016 as EVP/Digital.

Suchman joined Audacy in 2019 after roles at multiple advertising agencies. Sutor joined Entercom in 2002 as VP/Corporate Counsel and rose to General Counsel in 2013 adding the EVP title at closing of the CBS Radio deal.
