Eric Allen has departed his roles as MD/afternoon host at Radio One AC “B105.7” WYXB Indianapolis.

Allen joined WYXB in August 2018. He previously spent his career in Christian radio programming Virginia’s Positive Alternative Radio and Olivet Nazarene University’s “Shine-FM” before a fourteen year run at Educational Media Foundation where he spent time in multiple roles including Senior Director of Regional Services, morning host of “K-Love“, PD/afternoon host and morning host of “Air 1“, Assistant Program Director of both networks and Senior Director of Programming.

He shared, “A new season approaches … Friday will be my last day at Eric Allen on B105.7. I’ll be embarking on a new radio adventure (more on that another time). I’m grateful for the last 6+ years. Through a pandemic and ownership change, it was quite the ride! I got to play the music I grew up listening to, had the chance to see some great concerts, interview rock and roll hall of famers, and (mostly) did my show from a studio with the best view of the city. I never publicly mentioned my ratings, but I’m proud that for the vast majority of my time there I hosted the top afternoon show on the top station in Indy. That comes when you are surrounded by and led by talented people. Thank you to them! To the listeners – thank you! Radio is always about you! I’m grateful that you allowed me to be part of your life – I hope made your afternoons a little better and brighter!”
