Yvette Hoffman, one of the victims of yesterday’s politically motivated shooting in Minnesota, previously worked in radio.
Hoffman, the wife of Minnesota state Senator John Hoffman, was shot multiple times by alleged shooter Vance Boelter as she threw herself in front of their daughter Hope. KMSP-TV reports that she is awake and alert as none of the bullets pierced her organs.
Foxx worked on-air at CHR 99.5 WLOL Minneapolis, Rhythmic CHR 107.7 KSOL San Francisco and then spent most of the 1990s in mornings at Hot AC “Q102” KRNQ turned “Star 102.5” KSTZ Des Moines from 1992 to 2001. She has since become a kindergarten teacher and advocate for children with disabilities as Hope was born with spina bifida.
The PTO of her school is running a GoFundMe to support Hoffman and her husband’s recoveries.
