Freeland Broadcasting has shut down Country “100.9 The Farm” WEIO Huntingdon TN.
WEIO ceased operations on July 1 as the company has agreed to sell the station’s studio building. Co-owner Chris Freeland told the McKenzie Banner that the station has struggled since its former management team exited. Sister 1530 WWDX Huntingdon went off the air in March after damage to its antenna.
Freeland stated that they are attempting to sell the licenses. The company also owns Classic Country “K95.7” WCCK Calvert City and Oldies 1290 WCBL Benton/99.1 WCBL-FM Grand Rivers KY.
