The Big Time With Whitney Allen To Come To An End

Lance Ventaby Lance Venta
November 17, 2025

The Big Time Whitney AllenIndependently syndicated Country night show “The Big Time with Whitney Allen” will cease distribution on December 31, 2025.

Launched as weekly “America’s Hotlist” in 2005, the show would eventually become “The Big Time Saturday Night” and later the daily “The Big Time” reaching a peak of 180 affiliates. Allen began her radio career in 1979 at KATA Eureka CA and later worked in San Diego and multiple stations in Los Angeles including KQLZ, KIIS-FM, and KZLA. She would also host the weekend edition of Premiere Networks’ “After Midnite” for eight years prior to launching her show.

In a letter to affiliates Allen noted, “Perhaps what we are most proud of is that The Big Time was never a group-owned or corporate-backed syndicated show. Our growth, our relationships, and our success were earned, built independently on our own merit, one station and one listener at a time. That independence shaped the heart and soul of the show, and it remains one of our greatest accomplishments.”

“We offer our sincere thanks to the people who helped turn this vision into reality. Our agent, Eric Weiss, whose steady guidance supported us from the very beginning. Our affiliate sales manager, Marc Amazon, who worked tirelessly to grow and maintain our national footprint. And our exceptional producers, Justin Michael, Tim Winebrenner, and Jackie Stevens, whose creativity, dedication, and long hours behind the scenes brought The Big Time to life every single day. (You can reach Justin at Justin@RadioJustin.com and Tim at TimWinebrenner@Live.com)”

They continued, “To our affiliates, past and present, we want to express our deepest gratitude. Thank you for trusting us with your airwaves, for believing in our show, and for welcoming The Big Time into your programming lineups, communities, and listener routines. Your support, partnership, and confidence in what we created meant everything to us. We never took a single clearance for granted, and we are profoundly thankful for the role each of you played in the success and longevity of our independently built show. We are also deeply grateful to our syndication partners, Katz Media, Westwood One, and Dial Global, for their collaboration, trust, and unwavering support throughout this journey. As we approach our final broadcast, we will continue doing what we’ve always done: showing up with heart, energy, authenticity, and gratitude for the affiliates, sponsors, stations, and listeners who invited us into their lives. This final year is a celebration of the show, the people behind it, and the community that made it possible. To everyone who believed in us, supported us, or helped us along the way…thank you. You made this ride extraordinarily BIG.”
