After over three decades at Audacy Country 103.7 KSON San Diego, Kimo Jensen is retiring from afternoons at the station in June.
Jensen first worked at KSON from 1989 to 1991 before returning in the mid 90s following a stint in mornings at “Z90” XHITZ. Jensen made the announcement on the station’s morning show today with the station announcing a farewell “Kimo’s Kegger” concert in March with Rodney Atkins.
During Jensen’s long tenure at KSON he briefly was teamed with KFRG Riverside’s Heather Froglear for an afternoon show that aired on those stations as well as KMLE Phoenix, KWJJ Portland, and KKWF Seattle in 2020-21.
