Veteran Salt Lake City Rock personality Casey Baird has passed away at the age of 58.
Baird had been serving as night host at iHeartMedia’s “Rock 106.7” KAAZ since November 2022. He’s been heard in the market regularly since starting his career at 98.7 KZPX in 1984 and was also heard on “Z93” KLZX, “K-Rock” 107.9 KRKR, and mostly 101.1 KBER.
Baird spent much of the past decade in advocacy against domestic violence following the 2014 murder of his daughter Tawnee by her girlfriend. He is survived by his wife Julie.
