After the June 2025 sale of twenty stations to Christie Tate’s E Radio Network for $1.7 million failed to close at the end of last year, Monte Spearman’s High Plains Radio Network is reselling the stations out of Chapter 7 bankruptcy liquidation to the Atonn Muhammad led Blacksun Private Equity for $1.75 million.
Blacksun, which acquired nine stations in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas from HPRN for $1.25 million last September, will now acquire the following stations:
Arkansas: 1240 KVRC and 100.9 KDEL-FM Arkadelphia, 690 KAFN Benton, 99.7 KWPS-FM Caddo Valley/Hot Springs, 97.1 KJMT Calico Rock, 92.7 KRZP Gassville, 106.9 KYXK Gurdon, 1310 KZUP Malvern/99.3 K257HA Sheridan, and 94.3 KCMC-FM Viola.
Texas: 96.5 KKNM Bovina, 100.5 KNNK Dimmitt, 94.7 KGRW Friona, 1490 KZZN Littlefield, 1590 KDAV Lubbock, 1090 KVOP, 1400 KREW, 103.9 KRIA, and 106.9 KKYN-FM Plainview, 1490 KVWC and 103.1 KVWC-FM Vernon.
After he just acquired 1340 WHAT Philadelphia, Sabatino Cupelli’s SkyWave Broadcasting Inc. is selling Sports/Conservative Talk “98.7 The Fox” WFXS Pleasant Gap/State College PA to Seven Mountains Media for the cancellation of all debt and interest remaining on the $275,000 promissory note and all unpaid monthly tower rent owed from their $325,000 purchase of the station in June 2023. Seven Mountains requires an ownership cap waiver to reacquire WFXS to surpass the cap of four FMs and two AMs they own in State College.
Covenant Entrepreneurs Network will purchase Gospel 1570 WBGX/95.9 W240EI Harvey IL along with two real estate properties from the receivership led by Brian Byrnes for $375,000.
3 Towers Broadcasting Company continues to expand within Indiana with the purchase of News/Talk 1520 WKVI Knox, Classic Hits “Max 98.3” WYMR Culver, and Oldies “99.3 Vinyl Gold” WKVI-FM Knox from Kankakee Valley Broadcasting Company for $120,000 with $10,000 at closing followed by $2583.35 per month at 6% interest until paid off. An LMA of the stations will take effect on September 1.

Griffith Downtown Investments buys 102.9 W275CC Macon GA from Joshua Hale’s LLF Holdings for $1000. The translator will continue to rebroadcast Visit Macon Inc. AAA “100.9 The Creek” WNEX-FM Perry.
Lightner Communications purchases 103.1 W276AS Martinsburg PA from Martinsburg Broadcasting for $27,500. W276AS, which had been rebroadcasting Christian “Heaven 92.7” WJSM-FM Martinsburg via simulcaster 1110 WJSM Martinsburg, will switch to rebroadcasting Classic Country “96.1 Hank-FM” 1370 WKMC Roaring Springs along with 96.1 W241CQ Altoona.
Boise State Public Radio acquires 102.3 K272FR McCall ID from Boise Community Radio Project for $19,000. The translator will continue to rebroadcast 90.7 KBSQ McCall.
