Lotus Communications has made a pair of format changes at its Las Vegas cluster.
Brokered Talk 1230 KLAV Las Vegas and 98.9 K255CT Henderson are currently stunting with Construction Sounds as the station prepares to flip to Regional Mexican “La Caliente“. CalienteLV.com and LaCalienteLV.com were registered by Lotus last week. The 250 watt translator at 98.9 previously was rebroadcasting sister Sports “ESPN 1100” KWWN.
Meanwhile Spanish Brokered Talk 1340 KRLV Las Vegas flips to Sports utilizing Fox Sports Radio network programming. KRLV becomes the fourth station in Lotus’ Las Vegas holdings with a Sports format joining “ESPN 1100/100.9“, NBC Sports affiliated “920 The Game” KBAD, and “ESPN Deportes 1460” KENO. Lotus holds a similar four Sports station group in their Reno cluster.
In addition to the aforementioned stations, Louts owns Active Rock 92.3 KOMP, Classic Rock “97.1 The Point” KXPT, and Regional Mexican “La Buena 101.9” KWID in the Las Vegas market. Lotus acquired KLAV and KRLV from Hemisphere Broadcasting in August 2012 for $800,000 and had left their programming alone until now.
