Mountain Radio Group has flipped its recently acquired 1530 KQSC and 107.3 K294CH Colorado Springs CO to Country “Mountain Country“.
The station is focusing on what it considers “traditional country” as well as Red Dirt Country normally only heard in Texas and Oklahoma. Owner Dave West previously spent eleven years overseeing Air Force Academy’s cadet-run “97.7 KAFA” and ten years on-air for Jones Radio Networks. He purchased then Silent 1530 KKHI last summer for $200,000.
KQSC staffers includes Derek Shane and Jason Laird serving as on-air hosts and sales personnel. Lo Harris is on-air and Public Relations Director.
