Ohana Media Group Country “96.3 The Wolf” KXLW Houston AK/Anchroage underwent a metamorphosis last week and relaunched as “96.3 The Moose“.
The rebranding comes along with a musical shift to focus on music from the 1980s through today. The station describes its new sound as “the great songs from the 90’s and early 2k’s from superstars like George Strait, Reba McEntire, Garth Brooks, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw…plus the classics from Waylon, Willie, George Jones and Johnny Cash. Throw in a dash of today’s new stars like Eric Church, Chris Stapleton, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett and the Zac Brown Band and you have found the new traditional yet contemporary Country sound that listeners have asked for.”
The Moose is running jockless but featuring morning news and weather updates.
