Former Radio-One Baltimore Operations Manager Al Payne has been named Program Director for Alpha Media’s three Urban targeted stations in Louisville.
Payne will program Urban “B96.5” WGZB, Urban AC “Magic 101.3” WMJM and Classic Hip-Hop “Old School 105.1” WGHL. In addition to his six year stint overseeing Radio-One’s Baltimore programming from 2009 through September 2015, Payne spent time in the company programming 93.9 WKYS Washington DC and the company’s Detroit stations.
Alpha Media Louisville, KY announced today that Al Payne has been named Program Director for Old School 105.1 (WGHL), Urban B-96.5 (WGZB), and Urban A/C Magic 101.3 (WMJM).
Alfred’s award winning radio career has taken him from markets like Raleigh, Richmond and Greensboro, to some of the nation’s top cities including Dallas, Detroit, Washington DC and Baltimore Maryland. He is married to Michelle Payne and they currently live outside of the Washington/Baltimore area in Annapolis, MD.
