Case Communications flipped Country “97.7 Door Country” WQDC Sturgeon Bay WI to Classic Hits “Rewind 97.7” this evening.
Positioned as “Door County’s Greatest Hits” and “Amazing Variety”, the new format flanks sister AAA “106.9 The Lodge” WLGE Baileys Harbor.
The station wrote the following farewell message regarding the flip away from Country on its Facebook page:
When Door County fm 97.7 re-launched three years ago, there were 4 County stations audible here in Door County…..today there are 7. Reaching number one in the format was a big goal for Case Communications, we have done that, and again, thank you for your listenership and participation……now comes the time that we can no longer ignore the wants and changing needs of Door County listeners and advertisers. Thank you sooooo much Door Country. Stick around to hear the next reincarnation of FM 97.7.
