After just 11 months into its run, Clear Channel’s relaunch of the WSHE brand in Miami has come to an end.
Variety Hits “She 103.5” replaced its moniker and “She Plays Everything” branding on Monday with the more descriptive “Variety 103.5” name. Now branded as “Miami’s Variety Station“, the station has also added a pair of local on-air personalities from within the cluster. Former WTVJ-TV news anchor Kelly Craig, who had served as the imaging voice on the “She 103.5” incarnation will now host middays from 9am to 2pm. Ron Phillips, morning traffic reporter at Classic Rock “Big 105.9” WBGG-FM and News/Talk 610 WIOD will pull double duty as afternoon host on 103.5.
The Variety Hits format has not taken off as expected for WSHE. In its final monthly as Spanish AC “Super X” in April 2012, the station registered a 2.4 share of the Miami audience. In the most recent February 2013 numbers, the new format posted a 2.3 share.
