Update 4/29: Cumulus confirms that The Bert Show will replace Jack Diamond on May 16. Based at “Q100” WWWQ Atlanta, The Bert Show currently airs on eight stations including Cumulus’ “I94” WRWM Indianapolis, “I106.7” WNFN Nashville, and “99.5 The Vibe” WZRR Birmingham.

Aly Jacobs remains at WRQX from Diamond’s show. She will do local traffic and weather updates during mornings.

DCRTV.com reports that Cumulus offered Diamond a six figure bonus to help pass the torch to Weiss. The offer was declined.

Original Report 4/26: After 24 years in mornings at Cumulus Hot AC “Mix 107.3” WRQX Washington, Jack Diamond is no longer with the station.

DCRTV.com reports that Diamond’s contract was close to expiring and he was told that it would not be renewed. DCRTV also states that Diamond is likely to be replaced the the syndicated “Bert Show” based at Cumulus sister “Q100” WWWQ Atlanta.

The Bert Show is led by Bert Weiss. Before joining Q100 at its launch in 2001, Weiss served as Diamond’s co-host at WRQX.

In addition to WRQX, Cumulus owns Conservative Talk 630/105.9 WMAL in Washington.
