Update 11/15: Carr has made his move to 1510 official and will debut on Monday, November 17 from 3-7pm.

Ken Carberry, owner of affiliate 830 WCRN Worcester will handle distribution. All other affiliates carrying the program will retain the show.

1510 will begin utilizing the WMEX call letters on Monday. To make room for Carr, the station will remove any remaining Fox Sports Radio programming from its daily lineup. The new lineup features:

5-7am: Holeshot Radio
7-9am: The Dr. K Show
9-10am: The Morning Meeting from Boston Herald Radio
10am-12pm: Glenn Beck
12-3pm: Dennis Miller
3-7pm: Howie Carr
7-10pm: Sean Hannity
10pm-12am: Bob Levy
12-1am: CFR
1-5am: Infowars with Alex Jones

Original Report 11/13: After trying for years to exit Entercom Conservative Talk 680 WRKO Boston, Howie Carr has finally gotten his wish.

Carr made his last appearance on WRKO prior to Election Day and will not return as he debuts his new self-syndicated program on Monday, November 17. Carr had hosted afternoons at WRKO since 1994 as well as syndicating the show to stations in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Wisconsin. Carr attempted to exit WRKO for mornings at Greater Media’s now-defunct 96.9 WTKK in September 2007, but Entercom matched the contract and Carr begrudgingly returned to WRKO two months later.

The new show that will debut on Monday will reunite Carr with co-host Nancy ‘Sandy’ Shack and former Producer Doug ‘Virgin Boy’ or ‘VB’ Goudie. VB was let go from his position as commentator on WFXT-TV’s Morning News yesterday. The trio will be joined by newcomer Steve Robinson as producer and fill-in host.

But where will it air in Boston? As Scott Fybush has been reporting for weeks, Carr is destined to appear on Blackstrap Broadcasting’s 1510 WUFC. But it likely won’t be WUFC when Carr appears. The station, which is operated by Vanguard Radio via LMA, has applied to return to the WMEX call letters it used until 1976 and has registered 1510WMEX.com. The station currently airs a mix of syndicated Conservative/Libertarian talk, brokered comedic talk, and Fox Sports Radio programming.

The Springfield, MA Advance reports that Entercom has quietly been attempting to hire a new host for months now to replace Carr at WRKO. Fill-in hosts have been appearing in Carr’s timeslot all month and will likely continue for the forseeable future.
