Station Moves
The long gestating frequency shuffle involving many Salt Lake City area frequencies is coming even closer to fruition.
iHeartMedia’s 105.7 KNRS-FM Centerville and 106.5 KAAZ-FM Spanish Fork have applied to make their moves to 105.9 and 106.7 respectively. Neither station will make any other change to their facility. While 106.9 KEGH Brigham City to 107.1 Woodruff, 107.5 KKLV Orem to Kaysville, and 107.9 KUDD Roy to Randolph are built-out and awaiting the rest of the chain to be completed, after the two iHeart station moves, 105.3 KDWY Diamondville, WY to the Humpy site on 105.5 Oakley, UT, 106.1 KBMG Evanston, WY to 106.3, and other out of market moves will still need to be completed.
Media-One Country “98.3 The Bull” WYBL Ashtabula, OH applies to relocate to the tower of 91.7 WLGO Ashtabula with 4.7kW at 110.4 meters (Coverage Map).
Family Life Broadcasting’s 88.1 KJTY Topeka, KS applies to increase to 100kW at 196.4 meters from the tower of 105.9 KKSW Lawrence (Coverage Map).
Miller Communications’ “Old School 102.9” WQKI-FM Orangeburg, SC applied in 2008 to relocate to 95.7 but was unable to build out the new facility due to the tower site becoming unavailable. Miller has now applied to make the move to 95.7 again from its current site with 4kW at 123.3 meters (Coverage Map).
Jodesha Broadcasting Hot AC “105.7 The Jet” KJET-FM Raymond, WA applies to move north to a new tower outside Aberdeen with 38kW horizontal and 21.4kW vertical at 128 meters (Coverage Map).
With its CP set to expire next month, Holy Cross Radio’s CP for 88.1 in Mecca, CA applies to modify to 185 watts at -78.5 meters (Coverage Map).
Translator Moves
Juan Alberto Ayala’s CP for 107.1 W296CQ Hauppague, NY applies to move to 96.5 with 38 watts at 59 meters rebroadcasting Sacred Heart University’s 89.9 WSUF Noyack (Coverage Map).
Ayala also applies to modify his CP for 92.9 W225CE Four Corners, FL from 28 to 200 watts from its currently licensed 61 meter antenna rebroadcasting CBS’ 105.9 WOCL Deland/Orlando (Coverage Map).
Zimmer Radio applies to move 106.5 K293BW Columbia, MO to 107.1 with 50 watts at 54 meters rebroadcasting CHR “Y107” 106.9 KTXY Jefferson City. With the new facility being within the coverage map of KTXY on an adjacent frequency, a second move is likely to follow (Coverage Map).
Red Mountain Broadcasting’s 100.3 W262BL Mobile, AL applies to relocate to a new location with 250 watts at 133 meters rebroadcasting iHeartMedia’s 99.9 WMXC-HD2 Mobile (Coverage Map).
Hispanic Family Christian Network’s 94.5 K233CU Stockton, CA applies to move to 94.7 with 30 watts at 115 meters rebroadcasting Family Stations’ 88.1 KEAR-FM Sacramento (Coverage Map).
Hispanic Family Christian Network’s 96.7 K244FC Corsicana, TX seeks to relocate to Ennis with 250 watts at 140 meters rebroadcasting CBS’ 105.3 KRLD-FM Dallas (Coverage Map).
Texarkana Radio Center’s CP for 98.9 K255CR Texarkana, TX applies to shift to 99.3 with 250 watts at 130 meters rebroadcasting 101.7 KBYB Hope, AR (Coverage Map). Concurrently their 98.5 K253BO Texarkana, AR applies to move to 98.9 with 220 watts at 108 meters rebroadcasting 740 KTFS Texarkana, TX (Coverage Map). The moves come following an interference complaint from American Media Investments 98.5 KGAP Clarksville, TX.
Javier Flores’ pending acquisition of the CP for 104.3 K282BF Odessa, TX applies to relocate to a new tower location with 250 watts at 85 meters rebroadcasting 93.7 KWXW Kermit (Coverage Map).
Saga Communications’ Silent 93.9 K230AT Winterset, IA applies to modify its CP to move to 93.7 with 250 watts horizontal at 34 meters rebroadcasting sister 93.3 KIOA Des Moines (Coverage Map).
