FCC Applications 5/25: Resolution In Indianapolis

Translator Moves

Radio Station Application Construction Permit CP Translator 1260 WNDE 97.5 Indianapolis Mega 1310 105.7 WEMG Camden Philadelphia97.5 W248AW Franklin, IN has applied to modify its move to Indianapolis with a shift to an adjacent tower with 150 watts at 276 meters rebroadcasting Sports 1260 WNDE Indianapolis (Coverage Map). iHeartMedia is in the process of acquiring the translator from Educational Media Foundation, which was originally being disputed by Emmis on the condition that iHeart intended to rebroadcast an HD subchannel of 94.7 WFBQ on the translator. iHeart responded by stating that was to be a temporary condition to close the sale, but now agrees to keep the translator rebroadcasting WNDE for four years as required by the Mattoon Waiver and Emmis has dropped its Petition For Reconsideration.

Hope Christian Church of Marlton wasted little time to make the next step with 105.7 W289AZ Trenton, NJ. Last week we reported on its amended application and quickly granted Construction Permit to relocate the translator to Palmyra, NJ as a step on its way to Camden. Hope quickly built out the new facility and has applied to make the move to the tower of Davidson Media’s “Mega 1310” WEMG Camden with 250 watts at 41 meters where it will bring WEMG’s programming to FM in Philadelphia (Coverage Map).

After its previous CP expired, Delmarva Educational Association’s 107.7 W299BL Jacksonville, FL has refiled to make an identical move to 107.9 with 250 watts at 253 meters rebroadcasting sister Conservative Talk 600 WBOB Jacksonville (Coverage Map). The move is contingent on DEA first building out the CP of 107.9 W300AS Orange Park to 97.3.

Genesee Media’s 97.5 W248BH Gates, NY applies to relocate closer to Rochester with a city-of-license change to Greece with 27 watts horizontal and 19 watts vertical at 67 meters rebroadcasting Mars Hill Broadcasting Christian Preaching 89.3 WMHN Webster (Coverage Map).

Liberty University’s 106.5 W293AX Roanoke, VA applies to increase to 250 watts at 257 meters rebroadcasting Virginia Tech University’s 89.1 WVTF-HD3 Roanoke (Coverage Map).

Just east of Dallas, Radio Fortaleza Internacional’s CP for 101.5 K268CL Garland, TX applies for a new tower site with 250 watts at 61 meters rebroadcasting 91.1 KGPF Sulpher Springs, TX (Coverage Map).

Southern Illinois Radio Group’s pending acquisition of 93.7 W229BN Carbondale, IL applies to relocate to the tower of their News/Talk 1420 WINI Murphrysboro. W229BN will relocate to 93.5 with 250 watts at 28 meters (Coverage Map).

Ondas de Vida’s 91.5 K218FJ Halloran Springs, CA applies to relocate to 102.3 with 172 watts vertical at -162 meters rebroadcasting 89.1 KODV Barstow (Coverage Map).

Gopher Communications Company’s CP for 106.1 K291BT Grand Forks, ND applies to relocate to 105.7 where it will operate with 250 watts at 71 meters rebroadcasting sister News/Talk 1260 KROX Crookston, MN (Coverage Map).

Laramie Mountain Broadcasting’s 88.9 K205FY Granite, WY seeks a shift over to 89.1, which will enable the translator to increase power to 34 watts from its current 171 meter antenna (Coverage Map).

Station Moves

Gambell, AK is located on St. Lawrence Island in the Bering Strait closer to the Russian mainland than North America. The Nome Seventh-Day Adventist Church has applied to bring the first radio station to Gambell operating with 90 watts at 9 meters on 89.3. The new station would operate as a satellite of 89.3 KQQN Nome (Coverage Map).

Foxfur Communications applies to relocate Country “Wolf 105.1” WOLF-FM Deruyter/Syracuse, NY twelve miles to a new tower where it will run with 41kW at 241 meters (Coverage Map).

Colonial Radio Group applies to shift Country “Bob 103.9” WBYB Eldred, PA to a new tower site outside Bradford, PA with 2.6kW at 153.9 meters which will improve the station’s coverage in Olean, NY (Coverage Map).

Alpha Media Urban “Hot 103.9” WHXT Orangeburg, SC applies to change city-of-license to Swansea with a tower move northwest to move its 60dbu coverage to include Columbia, SC. WHXT would operate with 17.5kW at 120 meters (Coverage Map).

Mapleton Communications CHR “Now 107.5” KQPT Colusa, CA applies to downgrade from a Class B to B1 while relocating closer to Chico with 10kW at 156 meters (Coverage Map).

J&W Communications Classic Country 100.3 WAOQ Brantley, AL applies to change COL to Goshen from a tower site near Troy where it will operate with 6kW at 86 meters (Coverage Map).

Hispanic Family Christian Network’s 100.1 KZOB-FM O’Brien, TX seeks to increase from a Class A to C3 with 12kW at 145 meters (Coverage Map).
