Entercom Sports “95.7 The Game” KGMZ San Francisco has named Don Kollins as its new Program Director to replace the outgoing Jason Barrett.
Kollins joins KGMZ from Rogers Communications in Toronto where he has programmed Sports “Sportsnet 590 The Fan” CJCL since 2010. Kollins will start in San Francisco on June 12.
Entercom Communications today announced the hiring of Don Kollins as Program Director for Sports Radio 95.7 The GAME (KGMZ-FM). Don joins Entercom as a proven leader in the sports radio field, with many years of programming success and a track record of innovation. He will succeed Jason Barrett, who resigned his position in order to relocate to the New York City area for family reasons.

He comes to us with an established record of success – specifically in Sports and Talk/News formats. His experience in managing both play by play relationships with professional sports teams as well as personalities makes him the ideal choice for this position. Under Don’s leadership, I’m confident that we will continue to build on the successes that Jason Barrett has achieved during his four year tenure as Program Director”, added DiNardo.

Kollins’ 20 year programming career includes successes at Rogers Broadcasting Sportsnet 590 The Fan (CJCL) in Toronto and 570 News/Talk (CHYM) in Ontario where he served as Program Director. Kollins assumes a chair most recently occupied by longtime “95.7 The GAME” PD Jason Barrett, who resigned in February to move closer to his family on the East Coast. Kollins will begin his new position at Entercom on June 12th. 95.7 The GAME is the largest radio market FM Sports Station in California and the flagship radio station for the Oakland Athletics and Oakland Raiders.
