FCC Applications 6/28: Translator Upgrades In Knoxville & Boise

Radio Station Translator Application Construction Permit CP Wild Country 97.1 KYWD TucsoniHeartMedia Country “Wild Country 97.1” KYWD Green Valley/Tucson applies to relocate to the tower site utilized by 88.5 KFLT and 92.1 KCMT where it will operate with 25kW at 100 meters (Coverage Map).

S & H Broadcasting’s 105.1 KVGH North Shore, CA (formerly KQCM) is seeking one final move in the Palm Springs market. KVGH seeks a COL change to Bermuda Dunes and a move to the tower utilized by CBS’ “Sunny 103.1” KEZN Palm Desert. KVGH would operate with 1.5kW at 198 meters (Coverage Map). Over the past few years the station has moved from Barstow to Twentynine Palms and finally into the Palm Springs market.

Washington State University’s Public News/Talk 89.7 KWWS Walla Walla, WA holds a CP already to increase from a Class C2 to C1. The station now applies to modify to increase power to 16kW at 408 meters (Coverage Map).

Lakeshore Communications Christian AC “Q90” 90.1 WORQ Green Bay applies to increase power from 11kW to a directional 17kW while remaining at its current 197 meter facility (Coverage Map).

With its CP set to expire on July 3, One Media’s CP for 95.3 in Wakeeney, KS has applied to downgrade to a Class A with 150 watts at 63 meters (Coverage Map).

Translator Moves

Marco Broadcasting’s Pot Rock “Smokin 94.1” K231BQ Golden/Denver, CO seeks to shift to a different tower a quarter mile down the road from its current home with 250 watts at 225 meters. K231BQ will continue to rebroadcast 1550 KBUD Golden (Coverage Map).

Oak Ridge FM’s 101.5 W268BP Rockford, TN applies to relocate into the Knoxville market with 170 watts at 142 meters from the tower of sister 94.3 WNFZ Pirkle. W268BP will also rebroadcast WNFZ (Coverage Map).

FM Idaho’s 92.7 K224EP Horseshoe Bend/Boise, ID applies to move to an adjacent tower and increase power and height. K224EP will operate with 99 watts at 802 meters rebroadcasting 101.9 KQBL-HD3 Emmett (Coverage Map).

Katherine Hagler’s 107.1 W296AI Montgomery, AL applies to increase to 99 watts at 250 meters where it will continue to rebroadcast Bluewater Broadcasting’s Classic Rock “107.1 The Vault” 96.9 WQKS-HD3 Montgomery (Coverage Map).

Alabama Christian Radio’s Silent 99.1 W256BZ Alexander City, AL seeks a relocation to 99.3 with 200 watts at 47 meters rebroadcasting Southern Gospel 1050 WBNM Alexander City (Coverage Map).

Edgewater Broadcasting applies to modify two translator CP’s in the Florence/Muscle Shoals area of Alabama. 95.7 W239BY Florence will slide eastward to operate with 120 watts vertical at 18 meters rebroadcasting 98.3 WDXE-FM Loretto, TN (Coverage Map). 100.1 W261BY Muscle Shoals will move across the Tennessee River to the same proposed location to operate with 80 watts vertical rebroadcasting 97.5 WLLX Lawrenceburg, TN (Coverage Map).

Davis Broadcasting of Atlanta’s Spanish AC “Vida 96.5” W243CE Winder, GA applies for a new location after losing its lease at its previous location. W243CE will operate with 250 watts vertical at 232 meters rebroadcasting sister 102.3 WLKQ-HD2 Buford (Coverage Map).

Clyde Scott Jr.’s CP for 93.1 W226BZ Macon, GA seeks a shift to a new location with 250 watts at 72 meters rebroadcasting 107.1 WFXM Gordon (Coverage Map).

iHeartMedia’s CP for 103.3 W277CL Sofkee/Warner-Robins, GA seeks to decrease power and increase antenna height to 190 watts at 106 meters rebroadcasting Country “97.3 The Bull Icons” 1280 WIHB Macon (Coverage Map).

Neuhoff Media’s pending acquisition of 94.7 W234CC Sherman, IL applies to increase power to 250 watts at 130 meters rebroadcasting News/Talk 970 WMAY Springfield (Coverage Map).

Southwest Arkansas Media’s 100.7 K264AU Sheridan, AR seeks a Mattoon Waiver to relocate to Benton where it would operate with 250 watts at 57 meters rebroadcasting Saline River Media Sports “ESPN 690” KEWI Benton.

Christian Ministries, Inc. applies for a new tower site for 94.9 W235BE Burlington, VT with 190 watts at 66 meters rebroadcasting Christian Preaching “91.5 The Light” WGLY-FM Bolton (Coverage Map).

GEOS Communications’ 94.5 W233CB Hazleton, PA seeks to modify its coverage pattern as it applies to decrease its horizontal power to 75.4 watts while keeping its vertical output at 130 watts and current 149 meter antenna height (Coverage Map). The move is to decrease interference with 94.5 WVHO-LP Nanticoke. W233CB will continue to rebroadcast 730 WZMF Nanticoke as part of its Classic Hits “Gem 104” network.

Carl Tutera’s Silent 93.9 W230CB Ormond Beach, FL applies to shift to 104.5 with 20 watts vertical at 49 meters rebroadcasting Southern Stone Communications’ 95.7 WHOG-FM Ormond By The Sea (Coverage Map).

Cornerstone Broadcasting Corporation’s CP for 101.5 W268BX St. Augustine, FL applies to shift to 101.3 with 250 watts at 27 meters rebroadcasting Christian AC “The Cornerstone” 90.3 WJLH Flagler Beach (Coverage Map).

Southeast of Louisville, Calvary Chapel of Twin Falls’ 91.1 W216BM Okolona, KY applies to shift to 101.9 with 20 watts vertical at 70 meters rebroadcasting New Albany-Floyd County Consolidated School District’s 88.1 WNAS New Albany, IN (Coverage Map).
