Radio Disney continues its sell-off as 1580 KMIK Tempe/Phoenix, AZ goes to Jacob Barker’s Gabrielle Broadcasting for $1.4 million. Barker is President/General Manager of Sewanee Phoenix Holding’s Christian Preaching “1280 The Trumpet” KXEG Phoenix.

Dreamcatcher Communications is converting their LMA of Hot AC “99.5 The Edge” WAOL Ripley, OH from Queen Cities Broadcasting into a $340,000 purchase. Dreamcatcher owns three other stations in the West Union, OH/Flemingsburg, KY area southeast of Cincinnati.

Richard Gillenwaters’ Mountain Radio Group is acquiring an AM and translator in Colorado Springs from two of Vic Michael’s holding companies. Silent 1530 KKHI Colorado Springs goes from Kona Coast Radio, while 106.7 K294CH Divide goes from Mountain Community Translators. The purchase agreements for both acquisitions were missing from their FCC filings so no purchase price is currently known.

Judy Crabtree’s Cumberland Broadcasting sells Country “K108” 107.9 WKYR Burkesville, KY to Connie Crabtree’s River Country Communications for $450,000.

Rodney Tow, the bankruptcy trustee for Ace Radio Corporation, is selling the Construction Permit for 92.9 in Waynesboro, GA just south of Augusta to John Smith for $29,000.

He’s Alive, Inc. continues its sell-off as it divests 90.3 WAIJ Grantsville, MD to American Family Association for $10 plus up to $5000 in legal fees connected to the filing of the license transfer.

Translator Sales

Marantha Ministries/Joy Communications sells the CP for 105.7 W289BY Millville, NJ to Ritmo Broadcasting for $31,500. Ritmo operates Spanish CHR “97.1 Supra-FM” on Priority Radio’s W246AQ Collingswood, NJ/Philadelphia via Greater Media’s WPEN-HD3 Burlington, NJ.

American Family Association sells the CP for 97.7 K294ET College Station, TX to Bryan Broadcasting for $100,000. The application states the translator will rebroadcast Bryan’s 95.1 KNDE-HD4 which currently simulcasts Country “Maverick 101” 100.9 KVMK Wheelock.
