More stations that have changed due to the cancellation of the “SAM” network by Westwood One have come across this weekend.
The following stations have shifted to “Jack-FM“: 100.1 WRHN Rhinelander WI, 101.5 KFGI Crosby MN, and 103.1 KDAA Rolla MO.
96.7 KMDZ Las Vegas, NM is now Classic Hits “Z96.7“.
107.3 KNUJ-FM Sleepy Eye/New Ulm, MN shifts to Classic Hits while retaining the “Sam 107.3” moniker.
98.3 WKNA Logan OH, 103.9 WWEL London KY, 104.3 KKMX Tri City/104.5 K283AD Roseburg OR keep the “SAM” branding but shift to Westwood One’s Hot AC network.
Original Report 8/31: The cuts that Cumulus has made at Westwood One have led to the elimination of the Variety Hits “SAM – Simply About Music” service.
Two stations have already made changes due to the dissolution of SAM. Piedmont Communications switched “105.5 Sam-FM” WOJL Louisa, VA over to Westwood One’s Classic Hits network as “The All New Sam-FM – Classic Hits 105.5“.
NRG Media’s “95.3 Sam-FM” WRKX Ottawa, IL has transitioned over to the “Jack-FM” brand as “95.3 Jack-FM“. In response to a listener on Facebook, WRKX wrote “The service that provided the music and playlist for SAM gave us notice that they would be discontinuing the service so we went with Jack. The playlist and target audience is almost identical.”

Per a new update from NorthPine, it looks like both Rhinelander’s WRHN and Brainerd’s KFGI have gone to “Jack”–while New Ulm’s KNUJ-FM may have gone with a locally based format that maintains the “Sam” name.
