With the end of Christmas season, “105.1 The Gift” KAAU American Fork/Salt Lake City gave way to another placeholder format.

KAUU is now running an unbranded Dance format until Broadway Media can begin operating the station. Broadway began the process with the application to divest CHR “Mix 107.9” KUDD Randolph to Community Wireless. With KAUU now licensed to American Fork with full market coverage, Broadway has applied to take the station out of the SLC Divestiture Trust I, but cannot begin operating the station until the sale of KUDD closes.

Original Report 10/27: As SLC Divestiture Trust I prepares to move 105.1 KAUU Manti, UT to American Fork where it will have full market coverage of Salt Lake City, the station has dropped its simulcast of Broadway Media Country “101.5 The Eagle” KEGA Oakley and is stunting with Christmas Music as “105.1 The Gift“.

Over the past few weeks we have tracked several domain registrations for the station, all of which allude to Broadway Media operating it. The company also registered Mix1051SLC.com and Mix1051Utah.com earlier this year for a possible relocation of CHR “Mix 107.9” KUDD.

KAUU is expected to make its antenna move to Farnsworth Peak in the next few days. A countdown clock on the Facebook page associated with one of the domains points to a new format launch at midnight on Sunday, November 1.
