University of North Carolina Public News/Talk 91.5 WUNC Chapel Hill NC has filled the AAA vacancy in the Raleigh/Durham market with the launch of “WUNC Music” on WUNC-HD2 and online.

WUNC Music will run mostly jockless for now, but will feature special pop-ins. On Friday the station will Merge Records co-founder Laura Ballance with WUNC Morning Edition host Eric Hodge to promote Merge Night at the Durham Bulls baseball game that night. The station will also highlight local artists from throughout North Carolina. WUNC Program Director David Brower will add those duties for WUNC Music as well.
