Following its announced acquisition of “Cat Country 97.5” WKTT Salisbury MD from Rothschild Broadcasting earlier this month, RoJo Broadcasting will flip the station to Urban on Wednesday, March 1.
The new “Live 97.5” will feature the syndicated Breakfast Club in mornings and co-owner Ron Banks hosting nights. Banks most recently served as MD/Nights at Urban “Power 101.7” WZEB Ocean View DE that also serves the Salisbury/Ocean City market.
Rothschild, which had purchased WKTT and News/Talk 1320 WICO Salisbury from Delmarva Broadcasting in November 2015 for $300,000, will turn around and launch a new AAA on 94.9 WAMS Newark MD. To be positioned as “Delmarva’s Album Music Source”, the entire staff of WKTT including PD/Afternoon host Travis Ayres will move over to WAMS.
