iHeartMedia has appointed Nick Wize as Assistant Program Director for Hot AC “My 92.9” KMIY, CHR “93.7 KRQ” KRQQ, and Rhythmic CHR “Hot 98.3” KOHT Tucson AZ.

Wize will also host afternoons at KRQQ leading to an on-air personality shuffle. KRQQ/KOHT Program Director D-Wayne Chavez will move from afternoons on KRQQ to the same daypart on KOHT. Suzette Rodriguez will slide from afternoons to middays at KOHT replacing the voicetracked Angela Cortez.

Wize most recently served as APD/Afternoon Host at iHeart CHR “Channel 95.5” WKQI Detroit until his exit in February. He has also worked in Jacksonville, New York, and Panama City during his career.

iHeartMedia announced today that Nick Wize has been named Assistant Program Director for KRQQ, KOHT & KMIY effective June 11. Wize will also take over afternoon drive on KRQQ from 3p-7p. iHeartMedia Tucson has a strong cross-platform presence and includes a number of iconic brands and franchises — both broadcast and digital —
encompassing seven stations comprised of music, talk and sports formats.

As Assistant Program Director, Wize will be responsible for supporting the Program Directors of KRQQ, KOHT & KMIY. He will report to David Adams, Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia Tucson. In addition, KRQQ/KOHT Program Director, D-Wayne Chavez, will move to afternoon drive on KOHT and Suzette Rodriguez, shifts to the midday slot from 10a-3p.

Wize was mostly recently with iHeartMedia Detroit, where his roles included Assistant Program Director & On-Air Talent for WKQI. His background also includes working for stations in New York and Florida. Wize began his career at iHeartMedia Detroit.
