iHeartMedia has completed its revamp of AC “101.7 My-FM” WHOF North Canton OH as the station has relaunched as “Sunny 101.7“.
The station is promoting itself as a family-friendly listening option with “variety from the 80s, 90s, and today” and is launching with 5,000 songs in-a-row commercial free. The launch indicates a new softer presentation with the first three songs being Starship’s “Nothings Gonna Stop Us Now”, Dan Hartman’s “I Can Dream About You”, and Whitney Houston “I Have Nothing”. The changes seem to be a response to adjustments made earlier this year at Alpha Media Hot AC “Mix 94.1” WHBC-FM.
WHOF began stunting as “Christmas 101.7” in mid-November and promoting “a new radio station” to debut this morning at 9am.
