Alpha Media Hot AC “Mix 94.1” WHBC-FM Canton OH has announced the addition of the syndicated Dave & Jimmy Show for mornings.
Dave & Jimmy originate at iHeartMedia CHR 97.9 WNCI Columbus OH and the addition of WHBC-FM gives them ten syndicated clearances.
The addition of Dave & Jimmy completes a programming revamp of the station that began with the August exits of OM/PD/afternoon host John Stewart and Music Director/morning co-host Kathy Vogel. They were followed by the departures of morning co-host Mike ‘Ike’ Izic and his wife weekend host Jenny Lyte last month. Alpha Media Dayton Operations Manager Bo Matthews has added oversight of Canton and is now hosting afternoons at WHBC-FM.
Starting today, October 8th Alpha Media, Canton welcomes Dave and Jimmy to morning drive, 6a-10a Monday-Friday on Mix 94.1 (WHBC-FM).
The show originates from Columbus, Ohio on WNCI-FM and also airs on WLKT, WYHT, WXZQ, KXNC, WHMJ, WXXO, WROM, WKEI, and WTBO. Dave and Jimmy enjoy huge successes among adults and females 25-54. Dave and Jimmy deliver relentless topicality, comedy, and entertainment. The two will deliver loads of custom live and local content for the Canton/Akron area, and because they are located so close in Columbus, Ohio you just might see them around!
Alpha Media, Canton Market Manager, Larry Gawthrop commented on the announcement, “Mornings just got a lot more entertaining as we welcome Dave and Jimmy to Mix 94.1. We are excited to wake up Canton/Akron and start a new morning routine.”
WHBC-FM Operations Manager, Bo Matthews stated, “Being live, local and entertaining are pillars of success to WHBC-FM, Mix 94.1. Dave and Jimmy allow us to accomplish all three. They are Ohio guys that celebrate the region with their content, and also experience all the pain that comes along with being Cleveland sports fans! Jimmy is from right down the street. I am super excited for the show Dave and Jimmy will be providing us every weekday morning. The game just changed in Canton/Akron.”
“We are super excited to be joining the team at Mix 94.1! Canton is my hometown so I have about 200 relatives that will be listening every day,” remarked Jimmy.
Mix has also got rid of the syndicated John Tesh. They are going to hire a new night host to replace him.
