Inner Banks Media will flip a pair of its signals in Eastern North Carolina to Oldies as “Groovin Oldies 94.1/97.9“.
The new format replaces the recently relocated “Thunder Country” brand on 94.1 WNBU Oriental/New Bern and Urban AC “Fresh 97.9” on W250CJ Greenville/94.3 WRHD-HD2 Winterville. The new format flanks co-owned Classic Hits 107.9 WNCT-FM Greenville against Curtis Media Oldies/Beach “Beach Boogie & Blues” 102.9 WELS-FM Kinston and three translators.
The launch will take place on Friday, March 1. John Moore, who had been hosting mornings at WELS-FM, will take the same duties at WNBU/W250CJ. Dann Miller will host middays and Shawn Stevens afternoons. Inner Banks Media Director of Operations and Programming Dylan McKay will continue to oversee the programming.
