Beasley Gives Erika Beasley & Kent Dunn New Roles

Beasley Media GroupBeasley Media has promoted Erika Beasley from VP/Market Manager of its Fayetteville NC cluster to Corporate Digital Content Director for Local Markets and Kent Dunn to Regional Vice President of the company’s Augusta and Fayetteville clusters.

Erika Beasley will relocate to Tampa where she will report to Chief Digital Content Officer Lori Burgess and will be responsible for leading the company’s digital content expansion at the local level as well as working in tandem with digital program directors, programming teams and talent on locally relevant content development and marketing initiatives.

Dunn, who currently serves as VP/Market Manager for August will add the oversight of Fayetteville. Dunn has been with the company since 1991 and has led the Augusta cluster since 1993 with the exception of a three year run from 2014-2017 where he served as Market Manager of Tampa.

Beasley most recently served as the Vice President and Market Manager of the company’s Fayetteville radio cluster. In her new role, she will report directly to Chief Digital Content Officer Lori Burgess and will be responsible for leading the company’s digital content expansion at the local level as well as working in tandem with digital program directors, programming teams and talent on locally relevant content development and marketing initiatives.

“Erika brings a positive, can-do attitude and locally-centric focus to our digital initiatives,” said Burgess. “She was quick to embrace the company’s content transformation this past Fall and expanded Fayetteville’s digital presence and audience growth for both WKML and WZFX. We fully expect Erika to leverage her experience to further our live and local mission in an effort to grow digital value for consumers and advertisers alike.”

I am so excited to be joining Lori’s team and am looking forward to working with our stations as we continue to expand our digital content and presence,” said Beasley.

Beasley will be based in Tampa, Florida.

In his new role, he will now also be responsible for the managing the company’s Fayetteville cluster, including: WUKS-FM, WFLB-FM, WZFX-FM, WZFX HD2, WAZZ-FM and WKML-FM.

Prior to returning home to Augusta in December of 2017, Dunn served as Vice President and Market Manager of Beasley’s cluster of radio stations in Tampa, Florida. The radio veteran previously held the role of Vice President and Market Manager of company’s cluster of radio stations in Augusta, GA. He joined Beasley in 1991 and worked in the Augusta market as Market Manager from 1993-2014.

Over the years, Dunn has been named as Beasley’s “General Manager of the Year” on four separate occasions. In addition, he has been the recipient of numerous industry honors. An avid philanthropist, Dunn has served as a director on the Boards of the United Way, the Border Bash Foundation and the North Augusta 2000.

“It is a privilege to promote Kent to the position of Regional Vice President within the company,” said Beasley Media Group Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Brian Beasley. “His vast experience and leadership continues to raise the bar within the organization. We look forward to him continuing to lead Augusta and now Fayetteville into the future.”
