Costa-Eagle Radio Ventures has moved Classic Hits “Big 105.3” 1570 WUBG/105.3 W287CW Methuen MA to an internet only presentation as “Boston’s Big-FM“.
The station’s on-air are now running Educational Media Foundation’s Christian AC “K-Love” programming, giving the network a slightly larger presence in one of the few markets it has been unable to enter so far. No deal has been filed with the FCC to indicate if EMF is buying or leasing the station as of yet. EMF’s presence in the Boston market is currently limited to the rimshot presence of 95.5 WLVO Providence RI and 99.9 W260AS Lawrence MA. WUBG/W287CW will add coverage of Boston’s northern suburbs including Malden, Medford, Lynn and Saugus.
WUBG launched in April 2018 with a 60s/70s based playlist replacing Brokered Ethnic WCCM.
