Seven Mountains Media has flipped CHR “Hot 107.1” 1450 WHDL/107.1 W296DB Olean NY to Classic Hits “Big Oly 107.1“.
Operating under new WOLY call letters, the station is promoting a lineup focusing on hits from the 70s through 90s. Cluster News Director Gary Nease will host mornings on WOLY, while Country “95.7 The Big Pig” WPIG morning co-host Danni Lee will serve as Program Director while reporting to her OM/co-host Mark Thompson. The station will also carry Compass Media Networks/Townsquare Media’s Night Shift with Craig Allen.
The new format directly competes against Seneca Broadcasting Classic Hits 105.9 WGWE Little Valley, which serves both Olean and the nearby Jamestown market. In the just released Spring 2019 Nielsen Audio ratings both WHLD and WGWE held a 1.6 share of the Olean market.
