Immaculate Heart Media has agreed to purchase Baraga Broadcasting’s five stations in Northern Michigan for $345,000. The “Baraga Radio” network of 88.3 WTCY Greilickville, 88.9 WGZR Alpena, 90.9 WTCK Charlevoix, 91.3 WGJU East Tawas, 940 WIDG St. Ignace and 92.1 W221CA Gaylord will join Immaculate Heart’s “Relevant Radio” network upon closing. They will also assume the TBA of Blarney Stone Broadcasting’s 1230 WMQU Grayling, which feeds W221CA.
Ed May’s KMA Broadcasting sells News/Talk/Farm 960 KMA Shenandoah and 99.1 KMA-FM Clarinda IA to a group of nine local investors under the name KMALand Broadcasting for $2.9 million. The deal ends 94 years of May family ownership of KMA dating to its sign-on in 1925.
Pathway Community Radio sells 1430 WOSW Fulton NY to Craig Fox and Sam Furco’s Foxfur Communications for $25,000. Craig Fox’s Cram Communications had sold the station to Pathway in 2017 for $20,000.
The previously announced sale of 900 WABY Watervliet NY and the CP of 94.1 W231DU Clifton Park NY to Saratoga Radio has $20,000 price tag attached to it.
