After acquiring 1160 WAIX Mechanicville/93.3 W227DW Saratoga Springs NY (and relaunching them as Classic Hits “Star Radio” WSSV, Saratoga Radio LLC is purchasing a second AM/translator combo from Empire Broadcasting Corporation.
Saratoga Radio, a partnership of Ricki Lee and Hanna Kaleta’s Border Media and Aaron and Jessica Ishmael’s A&J Radio, will acquire 900 WABY Watervliet and the CP for 94.1 W231DU Clifton Park NY for an undisclosed amount. WABY has been carrying an automated Oldies format in-between long rounds of silence for much of the last year and a half.
Saratoga Radio LLC, a partnership between Border Media, LLC & A&J Radio LLC today announced that they have an agreement with Empire Broadcasting Corporation to acquired WABY-AM, Watervliet, NY and it’s W231DU Clifton Park, NY FM translator construction permit.
Ricki Lee, Border Media: “After completing our transaction with Empire on WSSV, we considered future growth opportunities and we believe WABY is a great fit for us. We will shortly be taking over the radio station via LMA”
Saratoga Radio LLC expects the transaction to close by the end of 2019.
