MacDonald Garber Broadcasting has tabbed Robby Bridges as Program Director/morning host and Rochelle Gagnon as Promotions Director/morning co-host at CHR “106 KHQ” 105.9 WKHQ-FM Charlevoix/Traverse City MI.
The couple most recently worked at Townsquare Media Portsmouth NH where Bridges served as Operations Manager from January-September 2019 and Gagnon co-hosted afternoons with him at Classic Hits “The Shark” 102.1 WSAK Hampton NH/105.3 WSHK Kittery ME. Robby and Rochelle also worked together at Cumulus Detroit where they co-hosted afternoons at Hot AC 96.3 WDVD in addition to he serving as Director of FM Programming and she Director of Marketing and Promotions.
“Robby and Rochelle” will debut on March 30 filling the hole created by the exit of Rich ‘Rizzo’ Deaver and Jeff Daly at the end of February.
The “Robby and Rochelle” radio show will move to weekday mornings at MacDonald Garber Broadcasting’s heritage CHR WKHQ/Traverse City. The show, hosted by Robby Bridges and Rochelle Gagnon, was previously heard at WDVD/Detroit and WSHK/Portsmouth, NH.
Bridges assumes the reigns of programming as PD, while Gagnon will take on the role of Promotions Director at the station, which is branded as “106 KHQ”. They will also launch a podcast.In addition to their history co-hosting “Robby and Rochelle”, Bridges brings a long resume of programming plus on air stops including New York, Boston, Philadelphia , Providence and most notably an 11 year run at Cumulus/Westwood One. He will continue his voice over work and guest hosting on Scott Shannon’s syndicated “True Oldies Channel”.
Gagnon has worked in marketing and promotions both in and outside of radio + held on air roles at Lakes Media and Cumulus. She also spent 2 years at iHeart Radio as Associate Producer of the syndicated “Mojo in the Morning” show based at WKQI.
