After exiting last week as APD/MD/afternoon host at iHeartMedia Country “106.7 The Bull” KWBL Denver, Bryan ‘B-Dub’ Washington is joining Hubbard Country “98.9 The Bull” KNUC Seattle.
Washington joins KNUC after a little over two years in Denver. He has also served as Program Director at “92.5 The Bull” KBEB Sacramento, Music Director at 107.9 KMLE Phoenix, APD/MD at “98.7 The Bull” KUPL Portland and on-air in CHR at “Wired 96.5” WRDW-FM and “Q102” WIOQ Philadelphia and “103.7 Kiss-FM” WXSS Milwaukee.
Washington succeeds Corey Dillon in afternoons. He will also take some of the programming duties held by Scott Mahalick ahead of his promotion to Operations Manager today.
At KWBL co-host Chelsea Thomas will remain in afternoons solo now.
A mysterious super-hero named “Captain Smile” made landfall in Washington State this weekend and became the hero that so many needed by paying for gas and groceries for members of the community, but who is this mysterious masked man?
At 7:20am this morning, the good will ambassador himself called in to 98.9 The Bull’s Fitz in the Morning to explain why he came to the rescue of so many families in Washington State. In an unprecedented decision, Fitz made an executive pronouncement to give Captain Smile a permanent home on 98.9 The Bull as their newest afternoon personality.
At 2pm Monday, Captain Smile will reveal that his true identity is none other than Bryan “B-Dub” Washington, who will grab 98.9 The Bull by the horns every weekday afternoon from 2pm – 7pm.
“I’m beyond excited to get my family back home to the Northwest and join the team at 98-9 The Bull and Hubbard Seattle. Can’t wait to make some great radio with Fitz, Wingnut, and the rest of the crew at The Bull, as well as work with Scott Mahalick again! Amazing things to come!”
