Conservative Talk 1680 KGED Fresno moved its programming to 1550 KXEX Fresno on May 1.
Both stations are owned by Compass Broadcasting with the Talk station LMA’d to afternoon host Guillermo Moreno and his mother Lisa Moreno. The Morenos began operating the brand in November 2018 after it was previously operating as “1680 The Answer” under a different operator. The station features Guillermo Moreno from 4-7pm surrounded by a syndicated lineup of mostly Salem Radio Network hosts.
The move drops the Conservative Talk format from the 10kW day/1kW night 1680 signal to the 5kW day/2.5kW night 1550 facility. KXEX most recently carried Spanish Catholic programming, while local observers noted Regional Mexican music currently airing on 1680.
