Subarctic Media has completed a programming shuffle at two of its stations in Southern Minnesota.
Last month, the Classic Country format of 101.5 KRRW St. James/Fairmont moved north to the former 105.9 KHRS Winthrop/New Ulm as “105.9 Northstar Country” replacing a simulcast of Classic Rock 94.1 KXLP Eagle Lake/Mankato. 101.5 continued to simulcast 105.9 KRRW until this past weekend.
After stunting with a loop of Rolf Harris’ “Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport” (a staple of Linder family owned station format changes), 101.5 flipped to Hot AC “101.5 The Emoji” KEMJ on Monday.
The new format creates a competitor to Alpha Media’s “Mix 99.1” KEEZ Mankato in the areas south and west.
