iHeartMedia Quad Cities has promoted Mark Manuel to Program Director for CHR “101.3 Kiss-FM” KUUL East Moline IL and Classic Rock “Q106.5” KCQQ Davenport IA.
Manuel will continue to host afternoons on KCQQ. He previously served as APD of KCQQ and webmaster for the iHeartMedia Quad Cities cluster. He has worked in the market since 1993 with stints in mornings and afternoons at CHR “All Hit 98.9” WHTS-FM and mornings at News/Talk 1420 WOC. He has also worked in Des Moines, Southern Maryland and Madison during his career.
iHeartMedia announced today that Mark Manuel has been named Program Director for Q106.5, Quad Cities Classic Rock, and 101.3 KISS FM, Today’s Hit Music for the Quad Cities, effective immediately. iHeartMedia Quad Cities has a strong cross-platform presence and includes a number of iconic brands and franchises — both broadcast and digital — encompassing more than seven stations comprised of music, talk and news formats.
iHeartMedia has the leading consumer reach and influence across multiple platforms and delivers more live programming than any other media company. As Program Director for Q106.5 and 101.3 KISS FM, Manuel will be responsible for directing and monitoring the stations’ programming and activities, planning and overseeing all on-air programming and production, coordinating with the programming and sales teams to plan and execute marketing as well as coaching and growing on-air talent. In addition, Manuel will be responsible for developing content for all seven stations’ websites in the market and will continue to serve as an on-air personality for Q106.5. He will report to Jim O’Hara, Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia Quad Cities.

Manuel most recently as an assistant program director for Q106.5 as well as the web master for the entire Quad Cities market. He began his career at KUSR-FM at Iowa State University and is a graduate of Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois.
