Lightner Communications has flipped “Classic Hits 96.1” 1370 WKMC Roaring Spring/96.1 W241CQ Altoona PA to Classic Country “96.1 Hank-FM“.
Focusing on Country hits of the 80s through 2000s, the new format creates a competitor to Forever Media’s “Froggy 98.1” WFGY.
In a Facebook post announcing the change, owner Matt Lightner states that the former Classic Hits playlist is heard among his other stations including AC “Mix 94.7” WBRX and Variety Hits “107.1 Jack-FM” 1400 WYUP/107.1 W296ED. He also states that they will be “upping the tempo” on Soft AC “Easy Favorites 96.9/100.7” 1340 WTRN/96.9 W245CZ/100.7 W264BZ.
