Beasley Media Classic Hits “Q105” 104.7 WRBQ Tampa has announced that Todd Schnitt will return to morning radio under his ‘MJ’ persona.
The “MJ Morning Show” will debut on WRBQ on Monday, October 5. Schnitt hosted “MJ & BJ In The Morning” later turned “MJ In The Morning” on CHR 93.3 WFLZ from 1994 until 2012. The show was syndicated to multiple other Clear Channel CHRs for part of the run. He exited in 202 to focus on his syndicated “Todd Schnitt Show’ afternoon Conservative Talker, but would later also co-host mornings at iHeartMedia’s 710 WOR New York from 2014-2017. Schnitt resurrected the ‘MJ Kelli’ morning persona as a podcast earlier this year. Schnitt also worked at WGH-FM Norfolk, KQLZ Los Angeles and WOVV West Palm Beach as ‘MJ Kelli” before joining WFLZ in its “Power Pig” heyday.
With the addition of MJ In The Morning, longtime morning host Mason Dixon will move to afternoons while Geno Knight segues from afternoons to middays. Dixon has hosted mornings at WRBQ since 2000 after an earlier stint at the station during its 70s/80s CHR heyday.

In addition, current longtime morning personality Mason Dixon will take over afternoon drive and Geno Knight will shift to middays. The new changes on WRBQ-FM will officially go into effect on Monday, October 5, 2020.
Schnitt also serves as the afternoon drive personality of the nationally syndicated The Schnitt Show on Compass Media Networks. Previously, the veteran radio personality co-hosted mornings on WOR in New York.
No stranger to the Florida market, the veteran radio personality has been the highest rated morning show in Tampa Bay over the last 25 years. Known for his stunts, humor, unique takes on pop culture, and the famous “Crotchety Old Man” calls, the new MJ Morning Show will include some of the classic show bits as well as lots of new content as well.
