iHeartMedia Sports “97.3 The Game” WRNW Milwaukee has expanded its programming across the state of Wisconsin with the addition of affiliates in Wausau and Superior.
The daytime local programming of WRNW is now being heard on Midwest Communications’ 970 WDUL Superior/Duluth replacing CBS Sports Radio and “Fox Sports Wausau” 1390 WRIG Schofield/93.9 W230BU Rothschild with both stations rebranding as “The Game“. The programming has aired on Midwest’s 1440 WNFL/101.9 W270AJ Green Bay since June, while iHeart’s “98.7 The Fan” 1400 WBIZ/98.7 W254CN Eau Claire airs two local shows from Milwaukee.
The Game branding and its morning show hosted by Steve Czaben had been picked up by iHeart’s 1070 WTSO Madison in January, however it has since dropped both.
The expansion of the Game branding and programming in Wisconsin matches the regional network strategy of iHeart’s “100.3 K-Fan” KFXN-FM Minneapolis. Both WDUL and WRIG/W230BU will carry all of WRNW’s local programming.
